Finally a good photo library decluttering app

Cleaning up your iCloud Photo library is a tedious task. I currently sit at 61,000 photos, and my bet is that half of those are the photos I want to keep long-term.

I've been trying to clear them out manually using basic search terms: food, screenshot, receipt, dog, etc. And although it works, it feels very adhoc.

Another suggestion is to go month by month, but that also requires a bit of organization. I've also tried multiple "smart" apps throughout the years, but terrible privacy policies scare me away.

In a recent newsletter from The Verge, this app was mentioned: Shutter Declutter. It's a simple concept: every day, the app prompts you to clear up photos that happened on that calendar day throughout the years. Swipe right to keep, swipe left to delete. Easy. And their privacy policy is very clear and simple.

I am currently on a trial but already removed about 500 photos today, and I see myself paying for it to continue decluttering. Bonus points for also having Family sharing available, so we don't have to pay for it twice.
